Surprise Proposal Photographer, North Wales & North West

let's start at the beginning

So, you’re planning on popping the question? Awesome, allow me to introduce myself... I’m Chris, a surprise proposal photographer based in Llandudno, North Wales. Since 2019, I’ve helped people capture that once-in-a-lifetime “yes” moment in all sorts of places - from city centres and private cinemas to secluded beaches and picturesque waterfalls.

My job? To photograph your proposal as it really happens - genuine, emotional, full of excitement and possibly some nerves too.

So, How Does Surprise Proposal Photography Work?

First things first, just get in touch and tell me what you’re planning. Don’t worry if it’s still just an idea - I can help you refine your plans, suggest locations if you’re still undecided. I’ll also share some tips from past experience to make sure everything runs smoothly.

On the day itself, I’ll blend into the background. I might pretend to be a tourist, or out for a walk to photograph the landscape. I’ll discreetly capture the build up, you popping the question and all the emotions that follow.

You’ll get your full proposal photo gallery the very next day, so you can relive the moment (and share it with everyone). You can even add on a short highlight film so you can watch your proposal too!

Any Top Tips For Finding My Partner's Ring Size?

The best advice is to pick up a simple cardboard ring sizer from a local jewellers or online. Then, measure an existing ring, ideally one they wear on the third finger of their right hand - that’s usually the most accurate.

Past couples of mine have tried on one of their partner’s rings and remembered how far down their finger it went - surprisingly effective! Once you’ve got a rough size, your jeweller will be able to advise from there.

If you’d rather not guess, you could use a placeholder or “proposal ring” - an inexpensive ring that still looks the part and is adjustable. You can find a few examples at proposalring.co.uk. They’ve kindly included me on their recommended photographer list and given me a 10% discount code to share - CHRISMORSE10. No affiliation, but it might be useful!
